+Brandon “Cozmo” Walters, Winemaker / MeAD Scientist / Owner
Brandon aka Cozmo started making wine and mead at home as a hobby. Like many guys and their hobbies it quickly grew out of control. He went from making 1 gallon batches of wine in the kitchen, to bigger batches in the laundry room, then finally moved out into the garage where the wine equipment took up so much space he often had to park his car outside. He was soon making more wine than he knew what to do with, and decided to attend Northwest Wine Academy “for fun” to learn other aspects of the wine business. Eventually the perfect commercial space was found and Contrivance was born.

Amanda Walters, Tasting Room Manager / Owner
Amanda is Contrivance’s tasting room manager and the public face of the winery. Creating a tasting room from scratch presented the perfect opportunity for her creative side to be visible to the world. With hobbies that include painting and resin pouring, she has added her creative touch on everything. She is married to an awesome winemaker husband (who may be the one writing this) and decided to embark on this adventure together.
