Our family and dog friendly tasting room features a steampunk theme with many interesting things to look at and experience.  We offer tastings and glass pours of our wine and meads.  We charge $10 for a tasting flight, which allows you to sample 5 different flavors. We will waive a tasting fee for each bottle purchased.  We pride ourselves in having a wide variety of flavors and sweetness levels, so there’s sure to be something for everyone at Contrivance. From dry white wines to dessert sweet meads and everything in between! We are also pretty crafty, and have been known to make things out of resin, yarn, etc. as well as 3d printing things for our fellow nerds.

Our mead and wine is made with as many local ingredients as possible and that includes real whole fruit. Real ingredients make a real difference. We make our contrivances here on site behind the tasting room. Our MeAD Scientist aka winemaker can often be found in the back working on batches or performing lab analysis on our work in progress wine and mead. Our meads are fermented and aged in stainless steel and oak barrels. We are happy to give tours if time and circumstances allow.

If you are looking for a place to host a small group of people please contact us! Whether it’s a private event or you just need a reservation we can make it happen. We’ve had everything from birthdays to bachelorette parties. While we don’t typically serve food, we can make special arrangements for your private event.

Do I need a reservation? If you plan to bring more than 6 people it is best to call ahead so we can ensure we can accommodate your party.
